Prize details

The winning design is going to be on the Mayor’s official 2023 Christmas card. And here’s the cool part: the winner’s first name, age, and school will be on the back of the card, so everyone will know who made it!

But that’s not all – this competition has some awesome support from Cass Art, which is the top art supplies store in the UK. The winner is in for a treat. They’ll be invited to the Mayor’s Christmas carol service event, and they’ll get a certificate to show off. Plus, they’ll receive some copies of the card to send to their friends and family, and the Mayor will personally sign their Christmas card. To make it even better, they’ll also get a £100 gift voucher to shop for art supplies at Cass Art.

How to enter this Competition

Here are the steps to participate in The Mayor of London’s Christmas card competition for 2023:

1. Join the Competition: To join, your school should appoint a school lead who will manage the competition within the school. They will be responsible for encouraging pupils to participate and ensuring timely entry submissions.
2. Pupil Participation: Encourage pupils to take part in the competition. You can announce it in school assemblies, and it can be a homework or school holiday activity. If pupils are unable to attend school, they can create their designs at home, and parents or guardians can submit them online.
3. Submit Entries: All entries must be submitted online using the entry form. The deadline for submission is 23:59 on Friday, November 3, 2023.
4. Artwork Format: All designs should be created on white A4 paper, preferably in landscape format and must be in color. Pupils should not attach additional materials like tinsel, glitter, or sequins to their entries. The design should be an image only, with no text. Entries must be uploaded as a JPEG or PNG, and the file size should not exceed 20MB. You can scan or take a clear photo of the design.
