Waitrose is organising this exclusive competition for the myWaitrose and My John Lewis members and is giving away the chance to win a trip for two to Finland, worth £6k.

Prize details

The prize is two spaces on a Finnish Wilderness Week group trip with Exodus Adventure Travels, and includes:

• a 7-night stay for 2 people in Oulanka National Park in Finland, staying at Basecamp Oulanka wooden complex. Basecamp Oulanka has a restaurant and bar with a log fire, plus a sauna and outdoor hot tub. The winner can choose between a double or a twin room.
• Return economy class flights for 2 people from London Gatwick to Kuusamo Airport, Finland and private Exodus group transfers from Kuusamo Airport to Basecamp Oulanka. Flights include 1 x checked bag per person.
• Breakfast every day, five lunches (on day 2, day 3, day 4, day 6 & day 7) and seven evening meals (on day 1, day 2, day 3, day 4, day 5, day 6 & day 7). Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available upon request for those with dietary requirements. Breakfast and lunch includes complimentary tea and coffee. Alcohol with meals will come at an additional charge.
• Local tour leader throughout the trip and all Arctic winter equipment and clothing. Full winter outfit will be provided, including jacket and trousers, fleece jacket and trousers (one thin, one thick), winter hat and mittens, gloves, boots, thermos flask, backpack, and head torch.
• A winter activity itinerary similar to the example included below (subject to change: the final trip itinerary will include activities as stated in the itinerary at the time of booking on Exodus Adventure Travels website). Example itinerary:
  • Day 1: Arrive at Basecamp Oulanka
  • Day 2: Snowshoe hike in Oulanka Park (2.5 hours)
  • Day 3: Cross-country skiing and free afternoon
  • Day 4: Dogsledding instruction and 10km tour in Riisitunturi National Park, evening Northern Lights snowshoe excursion
  • Day 5: Free day in Ruka for optional activities, including skiing and snowmobile safaris
  • Day 6: Wilderness skills including quinzee building and fire-making
  • Day 7: Optional activities including cross-country skiing and dogsledding, plus a farewell four-course dinner
  • Day 8: Return journey

This is a group trip and the group the winner is allocated to could be comprised of anywhere between 4 and 20 people in total.
